Be aware that a crisis is distinct from a mere problem. Specifically, your argument should work from this definition of crisis: A system or organization breaks down when its needed most. You should argue how the Whistleblower exposed this systemic failure. Use the following questions to prove the situation: what makes this situation a crisis (how is it a critical turning point)? How, specifically, has the system/organization failed? What contributed to this failure? How did the Whistleblower identify and publicize the systemic failure? What are the consequences of this failure? In developing your thesis and composing your essay, draw upon the various argumentative tools that we discussed in Essay 1. As for the research element, the essay must include FOUR outside, academic or popular sources that are relevant to your discussion of the crisis.
