Essay Assignment.
Each student will write one essay of no less than 1200 words, and not more
than 2000 words. The essay contributes 400 points to your grade (40% of the total), so it is quite
important. The essay must be doubled spaced and submitted in PDF format when complete. A
list of available topics is maintained on our Canvas site. I am also quite open to considering
topics not on the list (if some students have independent ideas) so long as they are relevant to
the course material. If, however, you have an idea for a topic not on the list, I need to approve it,
so please discuss it with me before starting your essay. Students will be graded on the quality,
coherence, scientific, and factual accuracy of their essay. Your essay must have a bibliography
containing at least five references which may be Internet links, but at least two references
should be a printed book or magazine article. Your text book may be one reference.
I left some files below and tehre are over 100 tpics to pick from, pick whichevrer you feel you can write about best and tell me beforehand please. Also I left a smaple from a essay so you can have a structural refrence.
