My case study is about a 20-year-old woman (Camille) who had really bad cramps during her periods at the age of 16. One day she was on her period and went shopping with her mom when they were really to get out of the car she got a really hard period cramp and she screamed! her mom asked her what happened?? she said my uterus hurt mom! her cramps were coming and going for 1 hour! She could not move! Her lips, legs, and fingers were getting numb. Her mom went running to the store to get medicine. Camille took the medicine and after a few minutes the pill kicked in and she started feeling better. when she went to the doctor they did an ultrasound and they found a left ovarian cyst sized 4.0 x 4.4 cm and endometrium of 12mm. The treatment that the doctor gave her was birth control without estrogen since she suffered genetical migraines. The treatment consists of taking birth control (norlyda pill – birth control) for a year.
