For this essay, you will choose one article that we have read in class (it MUST be a different article that
you have not yet analyzed in this class…i.e., not the same article from Essay #1) and conduct an
evaluation of that article using the skills you learned in chapter 8 (and in previous chapters). Analyze the
premises in the argument, the reasoning, the language, and the worldview of the author in order to
determine if the argument is valid, and where it might fall short in its logic. You should have a clear
thesis, or argument, and support that thesis throughout with specific evidence and examples.
