Assessment Details
Title: Solution Development and Pitching
Type: Individual Video Presentation via YouTube links
Due Date: 10 Oct, 17:00 (AEST)
Weight: 40%
Marked out of: 40
Task Description:
Drawing from your learning in the course, pitch a chosen solution to the grand challenge problem you have identified in Assessment 2.
You must include a video recording pitch via PowerPoint (PPT) video presentation. The recording should show your face and the PPT slides. The presentation video should be audible. If your voice in the presentation is inaudible, the marker will not be able to grade your presentation and you will be penalised according to the marking rubric.
You are required to use the frameworks and methods taught in the relevant modules.
Time limit: 5 minutes (with 10% allowances)
The A3 submission via the Submission Point in this folder should include two components:
(1) A YouTube Link (of the A3 Presentation)
Note: The marker will grade your A3 based on what we can view from the submitted YouTube Link.
Unless authorised by the convenor as an exception, any non-YouTube links (e.g. MS Stream) or format (e.g. MP4) will not be marked.
AND
(2) PPT slides (without the Video Presentation and narration – should be less than 10MB in file size).
Note: We require your PPT slides (PDF is acceptable) solely for the purpose of checking for originality issues (The PPT slides will not be marked)
Important note:
It is important that you answer the two questions in the electronic cover sheet for the A3 final submission point for marking to appear.
Evidence of YouTube publication before the Due Date is NOT evidence of A3 submission. If the mark centre does not have evidence of A3 submission (i.e. a blank submission), the A3 will be graded zero marks for non-submission. Students should check their Griffith email regularly and contact the convenor as soon as possible if your grades are missing or incorrect before the overall course grades are submitted to the Assessment Board.
The YouTube Link should be published before the Due Date (or a late penalty will be applied in accordance with the late submission policy).
The grading of the video presentation will stop at 6 minutes. That is, the marker will stop grading any video presentation after 6 minutes.
It is student’s responsibility to ensure the correct submission of the A3. A3 will not be marked if the PPT slides are not attached, OR a valid YouTube link is missing in the final submission.
Students should also check and ensure their submission is correct and could be graded. The marker will mark what is submitted in the final submission link regardless of submission issues.
If there are technical or other submission issues, students should contact their tutor or the convenor prior to the due date. After the due date, late penalty will apply regardless of technical issues or other submission issues.
Students SHOULD NOT use the same case discussed in the workshops and course teams site.
