1. Describe the Personal and Professional Benefits of having high Emotional Intelligence. Refer to the four EQ domains.
2. Can Emotional Intelligence be developed? Discuss why or why not. Refer to the four EQ domains
3. Is Emotional Intelligence or Intelligence Quotient more important to an individuals success in the work world?
4. Personal Reflection
a. What are your Emotional Intelligence areas of strength and areas of improvement? Describe each area of strength and weakness with specific examples from your life of identifiable emotions or behaviours and their corresponding triggers.
b. Identify three SMART actions (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Results-oriented/relevant, Time bound) to further bolster each area of strength and improve upon each area of improvement.
c. Summarize sections 4a and 4b in the attached Emotional Intelligence Action Plan Template (this template is not considered as part of the 6-8 page count).
Your point of view should be supported by research from credible Emotional Intelligence literature, well-known authors and research in this field (avoid uncredible blogs and consultant sites). Please note that the emphasis is on primary literature, reputable and original research publications. Use MLA citations and a separate Works Cited Page (not counted in your page count).
