Scenario: You are a human resource manager for a health care organization in 2021. You are having to navigate the changing work environment and demands due to COVID-19. Recently a few employees left the company due to life changes because of the pandemic. Some of them left because they wanted positions that allowed them to work from home and balance their mental health, others left because their children no longer can go to school or daycare- therefore they are needed at home, and some left because of the extra workload due to employees leaving. Answer: As a human resource manager how could you redesign certain jobs within the company to support, motivate, and accommodate your employees by keeping the business running efficiently? Due to the loss of employees you must now hire new employees to fill these positions. How would you recruit and fill these positions given the current circumstances? What steps would you take during the hiring process? Would these steps be any different than what you would do prior to the pandemic? Please identify each answer to the above questions.
