Select one of the two readings we have done so far in class. For this exercise you are to construct a letter to the author and respond to his/her writing. Briefly summarize the authors main argument and elaborate on whether you agree or disagree with his/her stance. Quote the author when necessary. Incorporate your personal experiences to respond to the authors theme
This assignment should be in letter format and should have roughly 500 to 750 words (2-3 pages double-spaced). Use these questions and guidelines to help you form your response:
What are the important points in this essay?
Why do you consider these important to mention?
How is the authors tone? What message is he/she trying to give?
Did the reading have any effect on you?
Were you able to relate to any of the authors experiences?
Do you have any similar instances?
