Week #6: Continuation of communication skills

Please look at Chapters 10 & 11 and Chapters 3-5 in Wilmot and Hocker (Interpersonal Conflict) review the links for additional readings regarding the assignment directions and respond to the directions accordingly. Your response should reflect assignment directions completely. You should write a thoughtful
response that clarifies that you have read and understood the material. You may
also draw upon outside references (e.g., journal articles) as well as professional
and/or personal experiences to make your point. These responses should be no
longer than a few paragraphs. You must also include a reference list.
Assignment to complete: Chapters 3-5 in Wilmot and Hocker (Interpersonal Conflict) #1- Family Communication Paper
Observe a family for at least 15 minutes and note the way in which they communicate. The observation can be a family that you know or one you observe in a public setting. Once you have completed the observation analyze, the familys communication pattern. Write a 3-4 page paper on your findings in the context of the assigned readings from the syllabus.
