s we have been discussing Chapter 7, DNA and its properties and how its extracted for solving cases and identifying suspects from victims, what are your thoughts on familial searching data- genealogy databases (Ancestry, 23 and Me, etc)? Should this be protected from law enforcement, regardless of circumstances, should there be some sort of provisions made to ensure justification and not overstepping the bounds of protection, etc.
Research and prepare a clearly stated argument that coincides with your views. Are you against it or for it? What research is there to back up your views, what important facts are available, and also consider how your views could impact cases?
Your sources must include your textbook, at least one peer-reviewed journal article (library database, not just a random website and a case example)
Minimum of 2 pages so you can provide and introduction and conclusion. Title page and reference pages are required per your syllabus. Book: Forensic Science Fundamentals & Investigations 3rd edition.
