Assignment Details
When the original ARPANET was created, the distance vector routing protocol was the algorithm of choice to use when measuring the distance to a destination network by the number of routers a packet had to pass over. As time evolved, the Link State Routing Protocol emerged.
In a 3-page MS Word document compare and contrast distance vector and link state routing protocols and provide examples of each. Please include an explanation of the protocol, an explanation of how it works, the type of algorithm it used for making routing tables, the history and problems or benefits of the algorithm.
