Overview: Final Project & Reflection
The final project has two parts, a written reflection that incorporates you previous reflections + a project that shows your answer to ONE of three essential questions for the class.
Essential Questions (Focus on ONLY ONE in your project and reflection) .
For the purposes of this project the time frame is Pre-Columbian period through Civil War. You may also make connections between the past and the present.
What is the story of America and how does it change over time/
What does it mean to be an American and how does that definition change over time?
What is the U.S. place in the world and how has that changed over time?
Part 1: Final Reflection
Your final reflection will be submitted along with your project at the end of the term (no later than Oct 15). Your reflection should incorporate the following:
The answer to your chosen essential question based upon knowledge and learning over the course of the term.
A clear argument in answer to the question
Incorporate key events, individuals, ideas that support your argument.
Incorporates thoughts from previous reflections
A personal reflection that explains how your thinking/knowledge & understanding have changed (or not) as a result of course content and why/how it effected your thinking/knowledge & understanding of American history.
