The Harlem Renaissance was a time of cultural, creative, and political rebirth for African Americans at the beginning of the 20th century. With this comes self-reflection and re-examination of ones place in American society.
PROMPT: Analyze the following in the poems: Self identity (how we see ourselves) versus how we are seen in society.
Discuss 2 or more poets and their poems. .
