SImply saying I agree is not acceptable. For this last weeks post, I decided to go with the unique population of college students ranging from 18-24, freshman to seniors, that make up 42.1% of the American population yearly. This demographic is very proactive; most are in the prime/fully grown, motivated, energetic, pristine, healthy individuals and have not been battered by age/injuries. The freedom to pursue different aspects of life through professional sports, going to the gym to decompress/release stress through nasty pumps, etc. Generation Z atm, also known as zoomers, have it easy right now in society; with technological advancement, it is easy to start up a workout plan just off your phone.
The average adult age is around 38.2 compared to college students, who have much more youth, and energy, not as worn down from stressors in life yet. The younger generation can consume/process sugar, not worry about weight gain, and usually have better metabolism. In contrast, full adults have more concerns with cholesterol, insulin levels, high blood pressure, and weight, which all come with age. Freedom is much more limited; healthy lifestyle choices are crucial in maintaining longevity.
For college students, it is important to celebrate their youth, while 50% of current university students are inactive and need to get out and start exercising. College students are in their prime and wasted if they are stuck studying or gaming all day; they just need a small motivation that goes a long way. They should always follow a plan and be consistent; research goes a long way in doing a proper range of motion and preventing injuries. Some small steps are biking on the campuses from class to class or getting food and then just getting it delivered. At the same time, exercise can also indirectly boost memory and thinking by improving mood and sleep and reducing stress and anxiety, such as schoolwork.
