Objectives/Purposes
For this essay assignment, students will individually choose one story that we read discussed in class. Analyze the story by one element: character(s), the theme, or the symbolism. Be sure to cite specific examples from the story to support your evaluation. These examples should be supported with in-text citations correctly formatted according to MLA guidelines.
Procedures
On October 17, students will submit a 500-700 word essay here. A minimum of one outside resource, in addition to your story of choice, is required. Please use the NWFSC library for finding outside sources. Some outside sources are acceptable, but professional scholarly publications are encouraged. NEVER USE websites like Sparknotes, Shmoop, or Litcharts.
Your essay MUST be formatted according to MLA standardsLinks to an external site. with a Works Cited page and in-text citations.
