For the first assignment of this course, you are to read the Novella Somnium by Johannes
Kepler. You may access a free copy of the book here: https://frostydrew.org/papers.
dc/papers/paper-somnium/. Once you have read the novella, you will need to write a
700 to 1000-word report, essentially summarizing the novella and comparing it to Lucians
A True Story. In your assignment, you will need to include the following information (no
bullet points please ):
1. Who is the protagonist of this story? Just provide some background on this individual
(maybe 3-4 sentences)
2. What is the method of transportation to the moon as described in the novella and
how does this differ from Lucians A True Story?
3. How does the Lunar world of Kepler differ from that of Lucians? Your discussion
here may revolve around themes such as the environment, the climate, the inhabitants
or structure of the society. You will need to write 300-400 words here
4. Whom does the protagonist of this story remind you of? Do some research to see
how the writing of this novel got the author into serious trouble. You will need to
write about 300 to 500 words to respond to this section. In your research make sure
you include the references in MLA (Modern Language Association) style. Note that
lack of references will result in losing half of the credit for this question.
Your document must either be a pdf or a word file, single spaced and using Times New
Roman font pt.12. The assignment is due on Oct. 9th at 11:59 pm. Please make
