whatever changes I have included here, for them all the information just needs to be reorganized properly already included in the paper
Overall changes:
1. Include more quotations and evidence from the novel itself. For quotes include strong and effective words, repeated words, and thoughts of the characters, for example when Harland was recruited at age of 15
2. Include more sources (should be a minimum of 10-12) and acknowledgments and always have 2-3 different sources embedded in every page- refer to them while stating points.
3. DO NOT INCLUDE plot as a subheading- no need of narrating
Subtopics
Changes to make:
1. Introduction- should be about 1.5 pages long. Include a reason why you chose this topic, the methods used, and what aspects you will be focusing on. Initially talking about time travel- as the novel progresses, love comes in.
2. Eternals and 482nd (in which century is eternity set?) century- Talk about technological advancement, Eternals control of life/time/manipulation. Their inter-relationships- on a professional basis, fellow feelings, or emotional relationships- do we see that- write this part in 250 – 300 words. Human relationships- void/lack of compassion and trust. Basically, the exploration of technology on human relationships and how technology has grown
3. Role of men- gender equality – women’s role. Harlands introduction in the plot should be included here, how he is a pawn. Talk about the threat, existence, synthetic developments, and genetic alterations (similar to what is already written before but needs to link to relationships)
4. Challenges (1000 words at least)- Noys and Harland’s relationship (love)- do not see women In Eternals- women have very limited positions- awakens Harland’s life, likes, longings, love.
Passionate encounter? What does the writer know about a person’s behavior? (does he talk about any encounter in this novel- talk about that). Harlands reason to love noys? Maybe Appreciates noys- she embraced the scientific field, rose up to the challenge where no women could- that’s why falls in love
Talk about Harland’s deprived fatherhood- taken away at age of 15, the son was taken away at 2 weeks, the discovery of human emotions, love that blooms, fear of the Eternals. human values are being diminished- forcefully took Harland away, now his son- what is this kind of life? Need human emotions which are not given to people- (can this be a dystopian novel in that sense?)
Many holes and voids in eternity’s plans- the safety of humans are first priority for people on earth- but medical developments (talk about this)- denying people of existence- only the rich can afford
5. The paradox in the novel- of infinity- last line- Eternity ends- honors the title. Talk about the cave at the end and how suddenly the kettle disappeared. Awakened from a nightmare? weather symbol. Harland and Noys realized the true power of love.- led to the end of eternity
6. Conclusion- personal reflection- manipulation of time- comes with an expiry date- we must honor it otherwise it’s not practical. Do not take parents roles away from children, grow a relationship, and don’t take individuality away.
