Question #15 on the Unit 3 Worksheet is just asking you to calculate the Pearson r value. All I want you to report to me is the final answer for Pearson r. I do not want to see any work or calculations, just the final answer for r. No attachments or pictures.
Remember Pearson r ALWAYS falls from -1 to +1. Anything outside of that range means you have made an error or errors.
I think the Pearson r Computation Example file in Modules under Unit 3 is a good one to use as a guide when you calculate r in question #15. Remember that N = 5 in question #15. Each horizontal line of values represents a person and N = the number of people in the study. The 5 column totals are what get entered into the formula for Pearson r.
In Question #16, you need to use the Critical Values Table (Table 10) which can be found in Modules under Unit 3 or in the Unit 3 Handout file in Modules under Unit 3. Use only Table 10 to get the Critical Value for Pearson r.
REMEMBER: Use the absolute value of the calculated Pearson r when you determine significance as stated in section 2j of the lecture notes.
answered: Question #15 on the Unit 3 Worksheet is just asking you to c
