Lesson Plan Project (parts of the Final) To make the Final exam easier to digest, I have split the assignment into three parts. You will get a detailed view of the overall project, and then I will assign phases of completion. Phase 1 is worth 25 points, Phase 2 is worth 25 points, and the final ( a combination of Phase 1, 2, and additional writing) is worth 50 points. So, you have time to make changes and correct parts of the final before its submission on October 6th at 11:59 pm. For your FINAL, you will do the following: Would you please review and reflect on effectively instructing students to read, write, and otherwise communicate ideas in this ever-changing world? You will use this semesters readings and discussions to submit one (1) lesson plan and at least four (4) activities for the following standards: RL. 1, RL. 2, W. 2 Phase 1: Students will identify the grade level standards that they will be working with. (ex. RL. 9.1, RL 9.2, W 9.2) Please refer to the MS Framework Standards if you are unfamiliar with secondary standards. Students will clearly identify a topic that they will address (this can be the name of the book or lesson/unit you are teaching) Students will write out the entire standard and identify an activity that supports that standard. Students will publish this in a PPT for submission to the professor Slide one: Name and title of lesson/Unit (your topic) Slide two: One standard and activity Slide three: One standard and activity Slide four: One standard and activity Please be mindful of differentiation. Think about this now, as it will play a part in the final. Phase 2: Students will create a PPT with their district lesson plan template Use the information from Phase 1 and complete a lesson plan covering the standards that you chose from Phase 1 Be sure that you are covering the three standards from Phase 1 and you have chosen four activities that align If you are not working for a district and do not have a template, you can use this one for the project. Click here for the template. Download Click here for the template. Final: Students will create one final cohesive PPT presentation. You should submit your lesson plan or include your lesson plan at the beginning of the PPT (if you have difficulty embedding or adding the docx file, just upload it separately) and then use the rest of the slide show to basically show me how you would teach that plan. You will get more detail in the module where your final is found.
