There has been much discussion in your organization regarding the purchase of an EHR. Two factions are squaring off in the discussions: those that favor best of fit, and those that favor best of breed. The information system (IS) with the backing from IT is a total package with an encoder as part of the system. You have worked with that encoder before and found it to be subpar.
