Grading rubric for the Lab 1 Reports
The final report for this lab will be due before the start of the next lab class (i.e., roughly 1 week). Your report will be graded on a 10-point scale. Answer the following questions in your 2 page double spaced report in Word format. You should upload this 2 page word document in Blackboard. Your report will be assessed using the following rubric to determine if youve addressed each of these four points:
What is the tragedy of the commons? You can read Garrett Hardins, which is posted on the course web site in the Week 1 module.
Were the results of the Fishbank simulation consistent with the tragedy of the commons? The Instructor and TA will post on Blackboard copies of the graphs describing the results of your simulation to help you write the summary.
Provide one or more other examples of common resources that are subject to the tragedy of the commons.
Propose one or more solutions to the tragedy of the commons for fisheries. You may want to access one or more of these web links, each contains a video:
