Theory Summary #3: Kantian ethics. UNIT 5 | Deontology and Kantian Ethics Ch. 6
In your own words, you will be required to summarize the key components of the ethical theories we study. This is to be a purely factual summary, no personal opinions or criticisms. You are essentially giving a factual report on a given ethical theory. These will be assigned in the first half of the semester and each one will focus on a single topic. Summary word count needs to be a minimum of 250 words (with a 300 word maximum) each to demonstrate a sufficient understanding on your part. There should be little to no quoting. This assignment is meant to be a restatement of the material in your words.
The topic for Theory #3 is Kantian Ethics. (I recommend a brief explanation of Deontological ethics at the beginning of your summary, with a smooth transition into Kants particular view of morality.)
