Body-worn cameras: Discuss the benefits but also the potential consequences of body-worn cameras on police. One topic that often generates discussion relates to access to videos. Since the videos are technically data, should the media have access to them through Freedom of Information requests? What about the general public? If I see a police officer with a camera show up to my neighbors house last night, should I be able to request the footage of the interaction through a Freedom of Information request?
Drones / Robots: Discuss the questions on page 382 of the text regarding the potential benefits but also the concerns with police use of drones. Does the local police agency use drones and/or robots? If so, for what purposes?
ECDs: What are some of the concerns with police use of ECDs? What other tools seem to hold the most promise for providing the police with less-lethal weapons in the future?
