For this project you will be creating a Powerpoint presentation about Natural Hazards. The goal is to create a presentation to inform the public about natural hazards and specifically hazards common in your local area. The presentation should also inform the public about basic preparations and precautions they need to take in the case of a hazardous event.
Basic Requirements (assignment criteria):
Prepare a Powerpoint that clearly and accurately informs the public about natural hazards. The presentation should include:
A title slide that includes the following: Your Name, Assignment 1B: Week 1 Project, Introduction to Natural Hazards Powerpoint, and the date.
An introduction and definition of natural hazards.
A section describing at least 5 natural hazards. Preparation and precaution not necessary.
A section describing two hazards common in your area and preparation and precautions the public should take.
Conclude with a discussion as to why a solid understanding of natural hazards is important to public safety.
Include a reference slide at the end. Use MLA or APA format.
Remember that this is a presentation for the public. Keep the length appropriate for public viewing. The total number of slides is up to you.
