(3) Third, you should address what you think are the major limitations of the reading and explain why this is a limitation. Remember, since we are often only reading excerpts of the original works, focus on what is in the reading, do not lament about what the author has not addressed, the author may have addressed it in a section of the reading that you did not review [worth 2 points]. Make sure to write carefully, include in-text citations, a final reference (citation), and use appropriate grammar [worth 2 points]. If you utilize the writing center, you will automatically be granted the full points for writing cohesion and grammar.
(4) As you analyze the strengths and limitations, bring your reactions to life by incorporating any observations or applications you can extend to the reading (news events, developments in science, connections to literature, movies, music, etc.). You many also include personal reactions to the readings. Anything goes, so long as you stick to ideas.
