Based on the lecture and Webtext materials, address the following:Describe your understanding of the north / south divide as it relates to the health of populations in developing counties. Determine specific steps — aside from building more clinics — that the leadership in developing countries can take to improve their health care systems and, as a consequence, the health of the population.Respond to following statement:It’s a bigger issue than building clinics. Governments that cannot support its citizens, whether it is due to war or corrupt politics would not be able to maintain these clinics at a level that would make a difference. Clinics alone would not be a good prevention method. Increasing the wealth of its citizens, through investment, education and a stable environment would be more likely to improve the lifestyle and health of its citizens. Providing an avenue to obtain health care for those who cannot afford it, would be a start, national healthcare insurance, local vouchers for medical attention or even a national health register so that medical trends or discoveries can be communicated freely and available to all clinics in all communities.
