Three neoclassical
criminology theories were discussed in the text: (1) rational choice; (2)
deterrence; and (3) routine activities. Briefly explain the premise of each of
these neoclassical theories. Evaluate each of these neoclassical perspectives
on deviant behavior, and identify the theory that comes closest to describing
an individual’s decision to participate in deviant acts. Explain why the
selected theory is the most accurate when examining deviant behavior.
