Assignment 3 (A3): The student will develop an essay that discusses pre-sentence investigations and reports that are the foundation for most post-conviction decisions made with respect to the final adjudication of the defendant. The importance of a proper and impartial investigation cannot be understated. In reviewing the textbook and additional literature, develop a list of the necessary investigative tasks and information relevant to the development of the pre-sentence investigation and report (PSR).
