You need to find and read at least TWO relevant secondary source. An acceptable secondary source is either a book or journal article that has citations (footnotes). Any website that is an educational website (history.com, encyclopedia entries, khan academy, textbooks., etc., are NOT acceptable secondary resources. We are no longer in the Presearch phase- we are in the Research stage.
You need to find and read at least FOUR relevant primary sources. Primary sources can be letters, speeches given at the time of the event, newspaper articles from the time of the event. Many primary sources may be accessible from online databases- and that is fine- but you will need to do the research to find them.
After you locate and read the required sources (2 secondary, 4 primary) you need to write up a mini-report on your work. This report must include the following information:
1. A complete citation for your source (author, title, publisher, year published) and how you accessed this information (checked out a copy from the library, online access to the book/article, provide website of primary source if relevant)
2. What led you to pick this particular source?
3. How will this source specifically help you to develop your contribution to the group presentation? Be specific.
4. What are your next steps? What questions are you asking of your sources and what information are you trying to find?
Answers to these questions should be a minimum of 250 words each(citation information not included in that word count). Answers need to be developed in complete sentences and full paragraphs. No bullet points. Your answer to question 3 should be the bulk of your submission.
