Two hour test – but there is extra time to think about the questions and organise your notes
¦ You can take the test at home or in RH207
¦ There are two parts to the test
¦ 650 words maximum for each part
¦ Mini essay-style, i.e. do not adopt a bullet point approach
¦ The test is marked out of 100 (worth 25%)
¦ Make sure you support your arguments/assertions with literature (e.g. drawn from the
relevant course readings and seminar content).
¦ Use citations in your essays but make sure it is all inclusive, e.g. do not write “refer to page xx
or refer to xx”). So your test script needs to include all the relevant information.
¦ Make sure you correctly acknowledge direct quotes and paraphrases – include citations and
page numbers when using direct quotes. Limit the number of direct quotes you use. Your test
will be submitted to turnitin.
¦ Do not provide a reference list but you should use in-text citations in your essay. You only need
to cite the set reading (i.e. you don’t need to reference the original source).
