This essay must be submitted on typed paper. It must be double spaced in twelve -point font. Follow MLA guidelines on google.
Charles will read The Leap beginning on page thirty-seven. He will read until page forty (under the green E located in the margin. He will then skip to the last paragraph of the story and read the closing paragraph.
When this is complete, he will need to finish the story. He must put himself in the shoes of a seven-year-old trapped upstairs during a fire. His mother must rescue him using her trapeze skills. She must enter the second floor from the outside of the building (the staircase is not an option)
Charles should have fun and be creative. This is a five-paragraph essay with a seven sentence per paragraph minimum.
