Upcoming Assignment: Reading Attitude Interest Survey Due Week 4
Reading Attitude Survey (10 points) DUE Week 4.
Interview a struggling reader (Grade 1- Grade 12) in order to
investigate the students concept of reading or attitude towards reading. Do not choose a proficient reader for this
assignment. Choose the McKenna and Kear Elementary Reading Attitude Survey for children in the elementary
grades or the Survey of Adolescent Reading Attitudes for students in the middle/high school grades. Both of these are included in articles, which must be read to help administer and score the survey. The analysis of the
administration of the inventory should include a reflection on how you would promote a positive attitude toward
reading. Materials for this assignment can be found in the Reading Attitude Survey folder.
