The essay must analyze specific examples from (a) the play, A Raisin in the Sun and, at minimum, (b) four of the required readings — two of which must be MacLean (both chapters are counted as one source), Nadasen, Horne, and/or Kelley.
Finally, in addition to consulting and following the “Guidelines for Written Work,” make sure you define your terms, identify the historical time period(s) under discussions, clarify what historical actors you are discussing, and provide specific examples.
