The admission essay promtp: Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
Since this is an admission essay, I really want it to be unique with the first sentence to be eye-catching. I want it to be about my self-growth. I feel like the first sentence should be a diologue.
Please use this as the base/example for the essay:
Im a twin(Im a female) and used to be in years-long fight of favoritism. Shes always the smartest with the most common-sense Ive ever seen in a person. My asian parents love that she wants to take over the family businesses as she grows older while I dont. Shes the acomplishment while Im the acts of services. Ive done acts of services as a way of means to account for the few accomplishments Ive made that suited my parents expectations. Im quiet and not as out-going but through my big and small acts of services for my family that expanded into my friends and strangers, Ive since then realized I have become the very meaning of (I cant seem to remember the word but like a way to say that I act for others and dont really care for my parents approval/favorites anymore, that Im focused on making everyone around me happy.) Some might think this brings down my self-worth just because I act for others but it doesnt. It makes me happy that others are happy, it makes me proud of what I do for others.. (happy to make teachers happy with my engagement and works(especially art classes)) and something about always needing to make my teachers proud.
