Select a relevant HR topic from the list of options
Choose one organization as your target organization for applying your
comprehension and development of HR course concepts and materials. Stay
focused on that one organization (target organization) for the next 8 weeks.
Make sure you have a title page.
Develop a thesis statement written in one-two sentences. Make sure the thesis
statement sets the tone for the rest of the paper.

Late assignments are not accepted or late penalty points will be applied. A reasonable extension can be

Section 2 Instructions:
Due on Sunday of Week 2
Write a strong introductory paragraph (1-2 pages) that includes your thesis
statement(s).
Make sure that your introduction is clear while forecasting the topics that youll
be covering in this paper.
Be aware that you will make major revisions to your introduction towards the
completion of this CEP assignment. By the time you complete the CEP by week
8, you would have discovered that you have covered new issues and topics that
you may have never thought of when you were first writing your introductory
paragraph.
This section should have in-text citations as well as a references page.

Section 3 Instructions:
Due on Sunday of Week 3
Write 3-4 additional pages that include the following concepts and components:
o Develop a SWOT Analysis based on your chosen topic & target
organization.
o Include and develop the four components of Sustaining a Competitive
Advantage through People related to your chosen topic & target
organization (pages 52, 575-576).
o Continue building your References pages. This should include multiple
citations (at least 8 by the end of the course). From your assigned primary
course textbook, video lectures, SOAP reflections, and LPU online library
resource materials.

Section 4 Instructions:

Write 3-4 additional pages that include the following concepts and components:
o Include the concepts of Motivation and Empowerment to your CEP based
on your chosen topic and target organization (Ch. 4).
o Continue building your References pages. This should include multiple
citations (at least 8 by the end of the course). From your assigned primary
course textbook, video lectures, SOAP reflections, and LPU online library
resource materials.

o Your first statement must connect to your thesis statement(s).
o Your conclusion should recapture the different topics of your entire CEP,
while reinforcing the major or driving points.
o New reference materials should not be added in the conclusion section.
o Finalize your references pages. This should include multiple citations (at
least 8 by the end of the course) from your assigned primary course
textbook, video lectures, SOAP reflections, and LPU online library
resource materials.

FINAL PAPER: Complete CEP Instructions
The cumulative essay project (CEP) should be in APA format and include a References
Page. Each section of the Cumulative Final Essay Project should have the following:
a. Each section of the cumulative essay project has specifically required
components and number of pages to be written (see above).
b. Writing Skills
All writing should be completed in APA format (including properly a formatted
Reference page). Writing style should be academic rather than opinion in nature.
Students should apply intext citations of all resource materials. Students should
thoroughly spell check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling for each weeks
work prior to posting.
c. Comprehension of Course Materials
Essay writing should demonstrate the students understanding of key terms,
human resource management concepts, and how these concepts merge together
throughout the development of their cumulative essay project. Students should
explain how those concepts specifically impacted their thinking about their
chosen essay topic. Students should be specific, citing from at least eight (8)
separate reference sources (textbook, scripture, PowerPoint slides, video lectures,
LPUs online Library, and video clips from course materials).
d. Weekly Cumulative Essay Development
After completing each section of the CEP on time each week, and after adding the
required components, students should review and apply specific feedback
received from the instructor in order to successfully complete this final project.
The review and application of the instructors feedback to the final CEP is
included in the grading rubrics.
Introduction: Make sure that your introduction is clear while forecasting all the
topics that you covered in this paper and restating your thesis statement(s). Be
aware that at this stage of your CEP, you will need to make major revisions to
your introduction, carefully adding some of the new issues and topics that you
discovered after you originally wrote your introduction during week 1. This is an
expected phenomenon when writing a scholarly research paper.
Conclusion: Your first statement must connect to your thesis statement(s). Your
conclusion should recapture the different topics of your entire CEP, while
reinforcing the major or driving points.
e. Application
This section should include a specific action plan about how the student will
integrate concepts related to their chosen cumulative essay project topic to
support their thesis statement. Students should consider how these integrated
concepts impact their leadership/management and personal perspective. Students
should write this section with an attitude of how they will share these insights
with others (ministry/business/personal). The application section should be as
detailed as possible.
f. Reference Page(s)
The cumulative essay project should conclude with a Reference page(s) in correct
APA format. This should include ALL work cited from throughout the entire
cumulative essay. Students will need to include at least eight (8) separate
reference sources by week 5. For a list of acceptable reference options to choose
