Scenario:
You are a member of SNHUs champion debate club. You have had a successful season and are well on your way to the College Debate Bowl championship! Your teams objective for this event will be to prepare a defense for a position on the following topic: Which impacts human behavior more: nature
or nurture?
In order to prepare for this event, the captain has asked team members to become
well-rehearsed on positions in this argument. She has requested that you write a position paper to
prepare for the upcoming debate.

For your paper, you must address the rubric criteria listed below:
Introductory Paragraph: Create a clear thesis statement that takes a position on whether nature or
nurture has more impact on human behavior. Your introductory paragraph should be a minimum of 3 to 5 sentences.
Body Paragraphs: Explain the influence of both nature and nurture and how they impact human
behavior. Each body paragraph should be a minimum of 4 to 7 sentences.
Body Paragraphs should also explain how at least one of the seven perspectives of psychology
( Neuroscience, Evolutionary, Behavior Genetics, Psychodynamic, Behavioral, Cognitive, and Social-Cultural) can support your argument. Each body paragraph should be a minimum of 4 to 7 sentences.
Conclusion Paragraph: Summarize position on nature and nurture based on research.

counterpoint, or you simply have more to say (such as including multiple perspectives).

Conclusion Paragraph
Summarize your perspective and restate (reword) your thesis statement.
