Reflective Analysis Essays will be a weekly, one-page exploration of the assigned chapter and class concept/s. This assignment is
intended to encourage your engagement with the topics; it is not simply a summary. Your writing should be concise; however it
must exhibit a strong dedication to the exploration of class readings and their larger societal implications. You are responsible for
citing what aspect of the reading is of most interest to you and then you must delve into the impact of that information in your
life. Gender is a course that pertains to your everyday experiences, now and for the rest of your life, so you are encouraged to
focus your analysis on how you will use this information. Keep in mind, despite the personal nature some entries may take, wellorganized writing and an academic tone are required.

Your reflective analysis essays should…
Have a minimum length of 300 words
Include at least one in-text citation to each week’s assigned chapter. The citation needs to include the authors’ last
names and the page number where you found the information. The format should be: (Wade & Ferree; 267)
Not quote excessively. If you must quote, keep it as brief as possible.
Make sure your writing is well-organized with a strong and coherent presentation of ideas.
Have excellent use of grammar, punctuation and spelling.
