How would you react to such a reception after experiencing the horrible nightmare of war? In addition, (here is where it gets tricky) the Anti-war movement amped up because of the stories in the press about American soldiers attacking and killing women and children in My Lai. Can we condemn soldiers for following orders? How and where do we draw the line on what is a war crime and what is strictly war as usual, and who should make this decision? Should it be decided by veterans of war who have experienced the violence of fighting theaters, or by politicians, and why?
