There are a number of social groups and institutions involved in cases such as these: athletes, teams, crowds & fans, coaches, colleges, the NCAA, the media, government, and more. In your opinion, who or what social group or institution is responsible for preventing these incidents from occurring? What are the underlying social causes of incidents such as these, and how then can solutions be implemented to address these social causes? Finally, is it possible to prevent these incidents from occurring? Why or why not?
