Comparing Religions of the World
Choose 3 religions we have studied and write a report on
how they manifest the basic characteristics of a religion.
Be sure to report on at least the following 5 topics or traits or characteristics:
a. The notion of a deity/s
b. The nature of human beings (Are humans good or evil?)
c. Divine providence or destiny (what is the purpose of life?)
d. The problem of evil/suffering (Why does this exist? How can humans avoid it?)
f. Afterlife (What happens after we die?)
You can describe them one at a time and indicate how they manifest the characteristics or you could do a compare and contrast as you point out the characteristics. Answer these questions based upon class materials including lecture, video, textbook and any other texts you choose to use.
The paper should be at least 4 pages in length. It can be longer but should not be any shorter. Typed, double-spaced and 12 point Times New Roman font.
Cite sources in APA or MLA format throughout the paper and include a bibliography.
