Paper Guidelines:
Write an introductory paragraph for your paper that includes the patient care issue, your PICOT question, and why the issue is important to nursing practice (rationale). Include what database you used for your search and what keywords you used to find your articles.
In the body of your paper, include the following level headings:
Description of Nursing Issue
Standard of Care
Impact on Quality of Care
Implications for Nursing
Conclusion
Be sure to use proper APA formatting, including a title page and a reference page.
All academic papers should follow a basic format: Introduction, Body of Paper, and Conclusion
The introduction, or opening paragraph, should contain a mini-outline describing paper contents:
Include a thesis statement that tells the reader what is discussed in the paper.
The thesis statement identifies the main idea and provides a preview to the rest of the paper.
The last sentence of the opening paragraph should contain a transitional sentence, which moves the reader to the first paragraph of the body of the paper.
The body of the paper should include all the assignment requirements. Use assignment instructions and rubrics to build the level headings of your paper.
The conclusion paragraph briefly summarizes what was discussed in the paper. The conclusion does not introduce new information.
