On occasion, OD consultants find that they face resistance from managers or other sponsors when they propose conducting evaluation of change efforts. One source of resistance is the time and cost of collecting information for evaluation. Another source of resistance is that sometimes managers claim that OD consultants who take the time to evaluate are only justifying their own existence.
