NOTE: Please read the speech, watch the speech, and listen to the lecture. Once you do that, post a paragraph reaction to what you learned. Please also note that this assignment is a reaction to watching the speech; its meant to be a brief reaction to the speech. The paper assignment listed elsewhere focuses on metaphor analysis and that paper should take you some time and thought to write. And this short reaction and discussion comes first. The 400 word (2 page paper) comes at the very end of the process. In your post I should be able to tell that you did all three of the above (read, watch, and listen). While I do NOT want a summary of the speech and lecture, rather I want a reaction to the material, a unique thought or insightful comment, I want to know that you did read and watch the required material. The links for all three are below. This should be fun. In your instructors opinion, Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the greatest speakers of the 20th Century. Much can be learned from his brilliance. Notice in addition to his metaphor use, his dynamic and energetic delivery, his confidence and poise, and his dynamism which stems from knowing that he is walking in the Truth. NOTE: Below youll find the link for the recorded lecture. Before watching the lecture, please watch and read the speech. Watch the Speech Here (Links to an external site.) Read the Speech Here (Links to an external site.) NOTE: You should watch the video of MLKs speech, read his speech, and watch the lecture as soon as you can. That will give you time to digest the information and think through your paper. Below are the links for the recorded lecture. Both lectures are exactly the same. If youre used to blackboard collaborate and Cccconfer, then you should use the first one listed. If youre new to online classes, the second will be easier to load.
