After hearing from a string of prosecution witnesses who eviscerated the defendant’s character and established a motive to murder her children, those in the courtroom were shocked by the testimony of a witness who claimed to be part of a mob which killed Medea’s children. Insisting that he cast the deadly stone, this proved to be a turning point in the five judge panel’s decision to acquit Medea.
