It is likely that you have experienced some type of orientation and onboarding process in the workplace. It is also likely that there were things that you liked and did not like about the process. In this discussion forum we are going to share our experiences and observations on the orientation process and work toward a set of characteristics of a best-practice orientation.
Respond to the following:
– Contrast the difference between an orientation and a robust onboarding process.
-Have you experienced either? Both? If so, please draw upon your professional experience.
-What are the factors that you think need to be considered when planning for new employee onboarding and socialization?
-Given those factors, describe two or three methods for new employee onboarding and socialization that you feel can be most effective.
