concern and how did they support their claim? Obviously, you need to choose a source
that actually makes an argument.
2. In one page, you will write a critique of their argument noting areas of strengths,
weaknesses, clarity of arguments, or pressing counter claims that you would like to
make (e.g., a feminist critique of the argument). Please note that critiquing the authors
style, use of jargon, or density of their writing is not appropriate for this paper. Im
interested in their arguments, not how easy the article is to read.
3. In one paragraph, you will reflect on why their work matters theologically.
You must include a bibliography for this assignment. You may not use required course
materials. You may not use the same source multiple times, even if you are critiquing different
chapters. The purpose of this assignment is to help students develop their own research skills
while also proactively evaluating sources for use in course papers.
