For this weeks topic, consider three important sources of data for epidemiologists: the US Census Bureau, BRFSS, and the NVSS. Using these sources of data, find two interesting statistics about a state of your choice that are in the form of a ratio, proportion, rate or percentage. One should support something that is complementary and the other should suggest something that needs improving. Which is most surprising to you and why?
