Identity status reflection
Read the scoring criteria for identity status for late adolescentsDownload scoring criteria for identity status for late adolescents (pg 1-9 [pg 205-213 if using numbers in the file itself]). Decide if you want to score yourself or a fictional character/celebrity. Then, choose one domain (vocational choice pg 9-18, religious beliefs pg 18-27, or family-career pg 27-36) to read and focus on. Address the following in your paper:
Describe yourself or your character in terms of your chosen domain. This will act as a replacement for the interview needed for the original measure.
For example, if you choose vocational choice, talk about majors youve chosen, internships you had, why you considered certain careers, etc.
Do you or your character have a higher degree of exploration or a higher degree of commitment in your chosen domain?
What identity status would you assign yourself or your character in your chosen domain?
Support your answers to the previous two questions with evidence based on the scoring criteria
The original measure uses in-depth interviews to identify identity statuses. What are some advantages to using this interview method? What are some disadvantages? Please use the scoring criteria chapter (e.g., section on scoring complications) and/or course material (e.g., from week 2) to support your answers.
Note: you do not have to write extremely long descriptions. For example, you can just use one sentence for assigning an identity status.
Formatting: 2 pages (not under 1 page, not over 2 pages), 12-point font (Times New Roman, Arial, or similar), double-spaced, 1 margins. Document must be in .docx or .pdf format.
Rubric (20 points total):
2 points for description of yourself/your character.
2 points for identifying where you/your character falls on exploration and commitment.
2 points for naming the identity status of yourself/your character.
6 points for description of why you/your character is that identity status.
6 points for describing pros and cons of the structured interview method.
2 points for following instructions (e.g., correct formatting) and writing quality (e.g., grammar)
I dont care if you do yourself and choose a character. Also it didnt say APA format so im not sure which format, the professor must not care.
