i When you watch the film The Minority Report, keep track of instances of where you see examples of utilitarianism, Kantianism, and Aristotelianism. This requires that you understand these theories and be able to describe examples of them.
=> This essay is gives you the opportunity to show off how well you understand these theories. Discuss where you find examples of utilitarianism, Kantianism, and Aristotelianism in the film. Make sure you explain why the examples you select are appropriate instances of the moral theories. This requires you to thoughtfully analyze the film in the light of these moral theories.
As far as the film is concerned, it was made about 20 years ago and set around the year 2054. Notice the level of surveillance technology portrayed in the film. The goal of the technology is to stop people from committing murders. Although the police are gung ho for this technology, you will see through the course of the movie that it is in fact problematic. What I want to point out is the scenario presented in the movie is not so far fetched, and that much of the technology presented already exists and is used in parts of China.
