Purpose: The purpose of this project is to help the student distinguish the message of each of the prophets from each other.
Reading the prophetic books can be difficult and after a while, if you are not familiar with prophetic literature, they can all start to sound the same.
In this assignment, I want you to
Read Longman’s summaries of each of the minor prophets carefully to get a feel for the unique features
of each of them. I have provided a text selection from each book that will also illustrate the unique features of each of the books.
Hosea 1:1-8; Joel 2:28-32;
Amos 7:10-17;
Obadiah 1:1-4;
Jonah 4:1-5;
Micah 3:1-12;
Nahum 3:1-7;
Habakkuk 1:1-4, 12-17;
Zephaniah 3:14-20;
Haggai 1:1-6;
Zechariah 1:7-21; and
Malachi 3:8-15.

these themes, make sure you are putting them into your own words, not just restating the words in the verses above or what you might
have read in Longman’s book or another source.
